The 2 days I just spent at GigaOm’s Structure Europe conference in Amsterdam were really awesome and I want to thank the organizers (Om?) for putting on such a fantastic event. In particular, I want to thank Joe Weinman and Barb Darrow for asking me to participate on their panels at the conference. It was a pleasure and a privilege.

Anyway, if you have some popcorn handy, sit back and enjoy the videos of the sessions below. Both are about 20 minutes and provide some great insight into the rapidly evolving world of Cloudonomics as well as the plan to create a market for trading cloud computing services across cloud vendors.

Trading Computing Power as a Utility AKA the New Expedia of Cloud Computing

This session was moderated by Barb Darrow of GigaOm and participants included Rüdiger Baumann, CEO of Zimory, James Mitchell, Founder and CEO of Strategic Blue and your truly, the CEO of Cloudyn. This is where I made the now famous comparison of a cloud marketplace to Expedia and the travel industry.

The Cloudonomics Session and Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Regaining Control of Your Cloud Costs

This session was hosted by Joe Weinman with participants Mat Ellis, CEO of Cloudability, James Mitchell, Founder and CEO of Strategic Blue, Sander Nagtegaal, Co-Founder and CTO at Peecho and the author of this blog post.
