Cloud adoption has become a major strategy for IT organizations and new cloud vendors and services are being introduced regularly to support this demand. As businesses rely on cloud vendors to support their entire application stack, a new set of tools and capabilities will be required to support the cost impact of cloud adoption growth. With the explosion of growth there’s also a lot of confusion and hyperbole about cloud costs.

This blog by Cloudyn is intended to be a resource for “clearing the mist around the cloud”, specifically regarding confusion on costs and management myths, and serving as a leading forum for discussing what is next for efficiency in the cloud.

On February 6th, Cloudyn’s announcement of the general availability of the next generation in cloud cost management, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution for dynamically optimizing costs of cloud computing resources is a step forward in this industry. We’re very excited about the cloud optimization technology to help users see, understand, forecast and save as needed for their cloud computing usage.

While we’ll try to always bring in information from our customer and industry interactions, we will always keep the conversation high-level and hope to get insight from you about what you see as critical factors to success in the cloud.

We look forward to engage and interact with this new community on the growth and maturity of the cloud marketplace!
