Data Subject Requests of Cloudyn Data

Included in the requirements of the GDPR, is the right for EU citizens (also identified as “data subjects”) to request their data be deleted or exported.  The following sections describe how Cloudyn supports a GDPR Data Subject Request (DSR) by explaining how to delete or export information stored in Cloudyn.  As a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft, all GDPR requests to Cloudyn should be made through the Microsoft Privacy pages identified below in the specific delete and export directions.

Finding Your Cloudyn Account Information

If you have a Cloudyn user account, take these steps to find your stored personal information:

  1. Sign in to the Cloudyn Cost Management portal, then click on your user name in the upper right.
  2. The drop-down menu will display your Cloudyn user name and email address.

If more than one account has been created for you in Cloudyn Cost Management, you will need to repeat these steps for each account.

Deleting Personal Data from Cloudyn

Users who wish to DELETE either their Cloudyn account and any related items in the Cloudyn service or sales and marketing systems must use one of the Microsoft GDPR request pages listed below.

  • If you access the Cloudyn service via the Azure portal or with Azure AD Single Sign On (SSO), please follow the instructions on the Data Subject Request (DSR) Documentation section of Microsoft Service Trust Center to submit your DELETE request.
  • If you don’t access Cloudyn via Azure portal, or interacted with Cloudyn prior to September 2017, please enter your DELETE request via the Microsoft Privacy Questions page.
    • Select “I have a privacy question or concern,”
    • Then select “I want to make a request regarding my personal data”
    • From the resulting list choose “I want to make a request not related to my Microsoft or organizational account (work or school account)”
    • Add your information to the fields (country, email, phone and request)
    • Submit

A reply to the request will be sent within 7 business days, and the specified account and related items will be deleted within 30 days after the request is received.

Exporting Personal Data from Cloudyn

Users who wish to EXPORT data related to their Cloudyn account, or information from the Cloudyn sales and marketing systems, must use one of the Microsoft GDPR request pages listed below.

  • If you access the Cloudyn service via the Azure portal or with Azure AD Single Sign On (SSO), please follow the instructions on the Data Subject Request (DSR) Documentation section of Microsoft Service Trust Center to submit your EXPORT request.
  • If you don’t access Cloudyn via Azure portal, or interacted with Cloudyn prior to September 2017, please enter your DELETE request via the Microsoft Privacy Questions page.
    • Select “I have a privacy question or concern,”
    • Then select “I want to make a request regarding my personal data”
    • From the resulting list choose “I want to make a request not related to my Microsoft or organizational account (work or school account)”
    • Add your information to the fields (country, email, phone and request)
    • Submit
